The college runs two Boys' hostels namely Vivekananda Chhatrabas old and new. Seats are allotted transparently on a strict merit-cum-distance basis. The construction of women's hostel has been completed and will be opened from the academic session 2008-2009. NATIONAL SERVICE SCHEME (NSS)
Two NSS units are being successfully run by Dr. Sabitabrata Roy and Prof. Souvik Chatterjee respectively. NSS volunteers take up programmes from time to time which are of social relevance particularly to the neighbouring people. COLLEGIATE & NON-COLLEGIATE STUDENT
As per the regulations of the Vidyasagar University a student will have to attend a minimum of 75% of the lectures delivered in each subject to appear in the University examination as a regular collegiate student.
A student whose attendance falls short of 75 % but is more than 60 % will be treated as a non-collegiate student by paying non-collegiate fees. A student whose attendance falls below 60% will be treated as discollegiate student and will not be allowed to appear in the University Examination.
